I debated whether or not I should upload this shot, mostly because I'm not 100% happy with it. However, I love otters too much not to. I don't own any filters for my camera lenses, so reflections sometimes show up when I shoot through glass. =\ I might buy a polarizer in the near future.
Anyway, otters are one of my favorite animals, so I was excited to see that the one at the zoo was active and swimming about. Unfortunately this made him hard to photograph. Lol.

While walking around the zoo, I heard a crunching noise behind and me and went to go investigate the sound. I found this squirrel happily eating a walnut and thought, "Hey! Perfect time to take a picture!"

This hippo was so cute! A zookeeper came by and started spraying the water hose into the enclosure. The hippo walked over and immediately started playing with spray!
I didn't realize hippos were such large animals. O_o |

I went to the zoo and took pictures of some of the wonderful animals. The flamingos were pretty active, but a few were resting. I really liked this particular guy because he was a lot pinker than most of the others.
I love how they stand on one leg!

A few of my friends went to Hawaii this past month (jealous!) and the pictures they uploaded inspired me to draw a girl in some tropical get up.
Added some color so the plumerias and hibiscus stood out.
